Come and share your travel adventures in a travel writing workshop. Learn how to turn your travel adventures into marketable articles, creative non-fiction stories, interesting blogs or travel memoirs. The workshop includes some 10 minute timed writings as well as writing instruction and critiquing.

The workshop will include how to write travel blogs and keep journals of your travel adventures.

Ruth is a published travel journalist since 1982 and has instructed travel writing classes and workshops for the Vancouver School Board since 1994.

Ruth was travel writer for Planet Eye Traveler who amalgamated with www.istopover.com. She wrote The Vancouver Guide http://web.archive.org/web/20110510043023/http://magazine.istopover.com/ for www.planeteyetraveler.com for four years.

Ruth is currently on the writing staff of www.EuropeUpClose.com

She freelances to Senior Living magazine as well as www.offbeattravel.com , www.literarytraveler.comwww.travelbythebooks.com and various other sources. Ruth is working on her own travel memoir “Life Below the Acropolis”. Writing travel memoirs is included in the night-school-in-one-day Life Writing Memoirs classes she teaches for VSB

She has presented a workshop on writing travel blogs vs travel articles for the BC Association of Travel Writers annual symposium.
