President’s Message
As the vaccine rollout continues, the US travel industry is ramping up to meet increasing demand. Airport passenger numbers are up, US airline flights are at capacity and some US hotels are reporting strong reservations for the upcoming Christmas holidays.
The “Grey Wave”, vaccinated US seniors have been flocking to resort destinations in the south. Soon to be crowded out by younger Americans as travel restrictions are loosen.
People have missed their vacations and we expect strong demand for traveling well as more countries open their borders.
A ‘once in a lifetime vacation’ is on the minds of many travellers which presents an opportunity for travel storytellers such as ourselves. What better way to capitalize on this opportunity than to improve your professional skills.
At BCATW, we offer the tools to become a successful travel writer. Online workshops in writing and photography are planned this fall with additional opportunities to hear from DMO’s and travel editors.
