There has been a lot of talk about returning to normal, but is that in our future?
After many months of working from home, are we all heading back to the office?

I believe we are all about to experience a new normal and to be a successful travel writer we need to understand where travellers and the industry are pivoting to.
Last summer in Paris, they closed down the Champs-Elysees on weekends to all motor vehicles. Now resulting in a discussion on sustainable tourism and considering tourists on bicycles exploring the city.
Bali has spent more than a year cleaning up their beaches and searching for solutions with the garbage left behind by mass tourism.
In the luxury realm, there is now a stronger demand for mindfulness travel. Recognizing how travel impacts on the local residents and the environment.
The goal of BCATW is to help our members understand the changes before us so that they can be effective story tellers.
In September, we will begin a monthly meetup on travel writing and photography skills. Plus, a series of advance classes for BCATW members with international and national destination tourist associations and travel editors.
As great travel storytellers, we need to adapt to our changing world.
